About the Journal

Odeeokaa Journal of English and Literary Studies, Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria is created for the advancement of knowledge and scholarship in the faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences. The journal aims at promoting academic research and encouraging publications from streams of academics. It serves, especially, as a veritable platform for many esteemed writers seeking a reputable journal to publish their well researched essays. Odeeokaa Journal of English and Literary Studies, IMSU, Owerri, Nigeria aims to establish itself as a reputable journal of English and Literary Studies.

The conception and birth of this journal is a testimony to the unwavering commitment of a team of like-minded intellectuals whose passion for academic excellence propels to achieve this great feat. To those individuals, I owe a depth of gratitude. My foremost appreciation goes to the Head of Department, English and Literary Studies, Imo State University, Owerri, Dr. (Mrs.) Christiana Nneoma Onuh, for flagging off this journal. Her vision of maintaining high academic standard in the department of English and Literary Studies, IMSU, Owerri, Nigeria is partly accomplished in the launching of this maiden edition of Odeeokaa Journal of English and Literary Studies, IMSU, Owerri, Nigeria. To a special group of individuals who deemed it wise to align with the vision of this Odeeokaa, I say, thank you. The submission of your works for publication in this journal brought the dream to reality.
